About the author

Alexander Leithes was born in Canterbury in 1974. He was educated at King Edward VI School, Retford, Nottinghamshire and King's College, London, where he studied Physics with Astrophysics and Fencing.

After working in a wide variety of jobs from Manure Salesman to Network Administrator, he retrained as a Physics Teacher. Currently he is living and working in London.

As well as writing Mananan MacLir he has written several short stories covering genres including science fiction, fantasy and mainstream. He has also written short stories for various Doctor Who related publications and has worked closely with other authors in this field.
